Salisbury Cathedral is 10 minutes walk from Holmhurst Guest House and is probably the most beautiful medieval cathedral in Britain. With the highest spire at 123 meters, plus the best preserved Magna Carta and Europe's oldest working clock, Salisbury Cathedral is sure to take your breath away.

Stonehenge is surely Britain's greatest national treasure, now a designated World Heritage Site. Its original purpose is unclear to us, but some have speculated that it was a temple made for the worship of ancient earth deities. The beautiful and mysterious Stonhendge is 15 minutes drive from Salisbury.

Wilton House is home to the 17th Earl of Pembroke this beautiful historic house, one of the treasure houses of England. Set in 21 acres of magnificent landscaped parkland. The house is home to a world famous art collection, situated in spectacular state rooms that have been used for filming scenes from Mrs Brown and Sense and Sensibility.

Old Sarum was originally a huge iron hill fort. Old Sarum was later occupied by the Romans and Saxons and finally by the Normans who built the Castle, Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Only in the 13th century was the Cathedral moved to its current location. The magnificent Old Sarum is 1 mile outside Salisbury.

Salisbury Racecourse is a couple of miles outside of Salisbury and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Family fun days and evening meetings all take place on this beautiful hillside race course.
